Hey everyone — it's Miguel Benavides.
I'm a solo dev, and I've been a lover and a fan of the crafting-survival genre since I was a little kid. As some of you have already noticed, pixelfall.net is my — very possibly cringy — way of paying what's owed, in admiration, to the guy who made it all come true: Notch. And to the craft itself. So: thank you. You're the guy. You're the dude that made it all happen, and it's why I'm here today.
A word on why the game lives here first. PIXELFALL is headed to Steam — but Steam's review timelines have been a slow kind of torture for a solo dev trying to ship. So instead of waiting politely, I built my own corner of the internet and made it the showcase a store page could never be: the title you can destroy with your cursor, the actual DAW the soundtrack was written in (open it, remix it, keep your mix), a bestiary that refuses to spoil its best secrets. This site IS a peek into the tech the game is made of.
And you can buy the first playable right here — checkout handled by itch.io, no account needed. Buying direct supports me the most, gets you every update from now through Early Access, and comes with a Steam key at launch — so when the Steam page finally clears, you'll have it both ways. Wishlist there too, when it lands.
Please enjoy. This is a passion project — made with love and care — and it's a world that will be constantly evolving. Hit me up with any comments and thoughts you have about the game. And please, don't be too harsh: this is my first attempt at doing this as a solo dev.
For context — I'm GM and co-head of studio at Mad Bricks, a game studio that's been going for thirteen years now. This is my first real take on making everything by myself.
See you in the world,
— Miguel
MEND THE HEART OF YOUR WORLD
Sixty seconds of the simulation doing what it does. Sound on — the suite is playing.
Sand falls. Water finds its level. Fire spreads. Lava cools into stone. A full cellular-automata simulation, all the way down — the world doesn't play an animation of physics, it is physics.
Cut a channel and the ocean follows you in. Tunnel a dune and the sand chases your pickaxe grain by grain. Every block you break obeys the same rules as the mountain it came from.

Meteor strikes crater the land. Swarm hunts ring the dusk sky. The Great Volcano wakes. Nights are darker, deeper, and worth surviving — tame a horse, raise crops, brew elixirs, build the base that outlasts it all.

One seed, one column of world: from the galaxy sky and its crystal islands, through thirteen parallax biomes, past bioluminescent caverns, down to the deep dark where the glitter caves sing. It's all one connected map.

Each world scatters the Amulets of the Heart among its Keepers — seven bosses with authored arenas, and not one of them falls to sword-swinging alone. The Deep Shark's water is its armor: drain the trench, or freeze it. The Sand Leviathan swims through powder: strand it on stone. Defeat them by reshaping the world itself.

Real captures, real physics — nothing staged that the game can't do live.
Straight from the game: draw something with real materials, hit ASSEMBLE, and it pops into the world below — where physics takes over. Stone stands. Sand pours. Water finds its level. Fire was never going to stay.
The suite's opening movement, composed note by note in our own tracker — with a little Debussy, Le Petit Berger, riding along as a guest piece. Don't just listen: open the actual DAW it was written in, scrub the piano rolls, tweak the tracks, drop your own notes onto the grid — and export what you make.
Runs right in your browser — the same chip-synth voices the game uses. Your edits are yours alone.
